Well I'm gonna be no good cos I've never made one of those video/trailer things before
But have you tried YouTube? Cos it's full of fan videos...or maybe you could go on YouTube and ask someone who's already made one how they do it? Cos I don't think anyone who posts here makes trailers Sorry

Woot good idea, hehe! I've made my board completely "members only" now as well, although guests can still read things, but not everything. All the more 'personal' type sections are Members Only, and some are pass word protected too.

There is one, somewhere
I'm hoping it might encourage people to join. I know a lot of guests seem to just read through the posts in what was the 'Help' board and that's a bit weird I've got a visitor monitor thing and I've seen that quite a few guests just look through our posts in the former help board. So now they've got less to read

One more quick post. Good going Jess. Call it paranoia if you want but when I see all the guests on at night, I can't help but think that they should join instead of lurking around if they want access to the group.
Overhaul? You mean there are Harry Potter discussions here?

Guests can view even less now For a while I've not liked that guests can still see quite a lot (ooo paranoia) so I've made a board just for guests. I've kept debating about having a board overhaul cos there's gonna be less Harry Potter discussion going on but decided against it. I'm lazy

LOL I don't think you offended Annette, she actually asked where you'd been recently. She's been away from the board for a little while herself and has just returned so that's good, I missed talking to her
I know what you mean about the sense of humour thing though, I often feel that way as well and clam up because I'm afraid of people thinking I'm completely wacko

Now it completely depends on what you want to do and how much you're willing to spend. You say you want a good laptop but you only want to write fan fiction on it...so you don't really need an 'all singing, all dancing' fancy one, really But like I said, it all depends on what sort of programs you're wanting to run.
I think I remember reading that you live in England, so at least we work in the same currency Give me an idea of how much you want to spend and I'll try and help. And don't worry, I'm in my final year of a computing degree so I know what I'm on about. Most of the time
...would be perfectly capable of running programs like Microsoft Word. But remember, buying off eBay might be cheap but also means no warranty. One of my fave shops for computers is:
They are fantastic. In the Products > Notebooks section there's a lot of different laptops, plus the peace of mind that you're buying from a decent company. Anyway, let me know what your budget is and I'll try and help you. However you're in my realm now, so I may go on and on

OUCH! If I had known you were so violent, I might have thought twice about joining either group. It's just so much fun here that I keep forgetting the other one.
And yes indeed, the cream of the crop are posting here.
Thank you for not deleting me. I don't know if I just keep forgetting the spaces between all the L's or what but I can never find this group when my favorites list wipes out on me. I have to search through all my old email for yours to find the link to the other group and get back here through there. As long as that might take, it's easier than doing a search through Jason's name. But that group did serve me well. I believe that I found this one through that one originally.
And, Claire. A for you as well. Besides Dr. Who and Torchwood, there's not much I recognize, show wise, on your site. Plus I'm afraid that your friends might not get my sense of humor and would end up upset at me. I still wonder if I offended Annette with that crack I made about the weather. And then it turned out to be another American who didn't realize that I was only kidding with my original crack about America bashing. That turned into a bloody farce.
Edit: Jess. I just got guilted into jumping over to the other group to say hi to Jason and you and now I've seen references to the Brotherhood episodes I havent gotten around to watching yet. But I was afraid that Depp lover might follow me there. I was glad to see that I am just Jason's comb over there.

I've just checked...you are still a member there But you haven't posted since April, 2006! Bad Donna!
I'm not sending out a mass email cos I'm fine with people not posting. Like I've said to you, the less people there are the less I have to worry My favourite people are posting, and that's the main thing

Of course, we're not horrible, just a bit twisted.
You go Jess. Get rid of those lurkers and stalkers.
That being said, start posting people. The boss lady can mean business. I remember once getting an email about the other Jason board.
Jeez, I wonder if I'm still a member there? I hope so because whenever my Microsoft wipes out and my favorites disappear, the only way I can find my way back here for some reason is to go there and find the link.

There's not too many people who've deleted themselves really. Looking down the Intro's board, only 4 people have deleted themselves in 4 years. So not bad, and none of them are cos we're horrible And then there's all the people I delete We'd have about 100 other members if I'd not deleted people who had 0 posts

Hello Mrs. Wicked.Nice to hear from you. No, I don't eat children or kill blondes (just the occasional joke )
Might as well be up front about it since you're probably sure to come across some past, and probably future, posts referring to my hatred of Snape.
He is the person I detest the most out of all those connected with the HP series. Well, at least until JKR lost her mind. So now I would have to say that he is the second most detested one.
